This is a truly georgous bowl, and I almost hate to part with it.(How many bowls does a bowl maker need?) This is a large bowl, measuring 15 inches in diameter and 4 1/2 inches tall. The wood came from a 200 year old maple that was condemned by the county forester because it was a danger to others. The finish is a very food safe, non toxic natural oil and beeswax, and can be easily renewed. A sample container of the finish will be shipped with the bowl.
