Vermont Pen and Bowlworks is a small woodturning shop located on “the West Coast of New England” in Milton, or in more topographic terms, in northwestern Vermont close to the shores of Lake Champlain. Our only focus is the desire to release the hidden beauty in what would otherwise be considered “just a chunk of wood”, and to create something useful and lasting. Most of the timber we use is locally harvested, and generally headed for the woodstove or fireplace. We do, however, “import” our burl from the real West Coast, mainly Oregon, and we do offer our products in most of the exotics  from out of the country.
